LegalSearch connects directly to live national court and legislative registries across multiple countries. By selecting a specific jurisdiction, you define the legal boundaries of your research. The system dynamically tailors its search engine, advanced filters, and document formats to match the statutory requirements of the selected region.

This guide details how to configure search jurisdictions, explains the registers integrated for each region, and describes how switching jurisdictions impacts your search and chat environments.

Continuously Updated Legal Database

LegalPunkt maintains all integrated legislations and legal documents in a fully up-to-date state at all times. Our system continuously monitors official national registries and legislative databases for any changes — including new enactments, amendments, repeals, and newly published court decisions. As new relevant legislation and case law become available, they are automatically uploaded and indexed into LegalSearch, ensuring that your research always reflects the current state of the law across every supported jurisdiction.

This means you can rely on LegalSearch results without needing to cross-check publication dates or worry about outdated provisions. Whether a statute was amended yesterday or a landmark ruling was just published, LegalSearch will have it available for your queries.

Setting the Active Jurisdiction

To target your search to a specific country's legal database:

1. Navigate to the LegalSearch workspace by clicking LegalSearch in the left sidebar navigation menu.
2. Locate the Registry Country Dropdown in the top-right corner of the search console (next to the Semantic AI search toggle).
3. Click the dropdown to select one of the four supported regions:
   • 🇺🇦 Ukraine
   • 🇬🇧 United Kingdom
   • 🇺🇸 United States
   • 🇪🇺 European Union
4. Selecting a country immediately re-initializes the search parameters, adjusting the query syntax rules and filter types to fit that jurisdiction.

LegalSearch is not a simple keyword crawler; it integrates directly with official governmental APIs and academic legal repositories:
