Guide to Managing Hired Agents on Agentpunkt
This guide provides a comprehensive, step-by-step overview of the Hired Agents page. It is designed to help you understand what hired agents are, how to manage your digital workforce, track your spending, and maximize the utility of your individual agent sessions.

What Are Hired Agents?
Hired agents are AI agents that you have purchased or subscribed to through the Agentpunkt marketplace. Once you hire an agent, it becomes part of your personal digital workforce — ready to execute tasks, answer questions, and collaborate with you across a variety of interaction modes. Think of them as on-demand specialists that are always available within your Agentpunkt workspace.
Every hired agent lives in a centralized dashboard at agentpunkt.com/hired-agents, giving you a single control center for all of your active and inactive agents.
Why Hired Agents Matter
Hired agents are the core of the Agentpunkt experience for business users. Here is why they are valuable:
- Instant Expertise on Demand: Instead of hiring full-time staff or consultants for specialized tasks, you can hire an AI agent that is already trained and optimized for the job.
- Scalable Workforce: You can hire as many agents as your projects require and scale down when work is complete — no long-term commitments needed.
- Unified Management: All of your agents are managed from one dashboard, so you never lose track of what you have access to, what is active, and what it costs.
- Session Persistence: Every conversation is saved, so you can pick up exactly where you left off with any agent at any time.
- Multimodal Capabilities: Depending on the agent, you can interact through text, voice, video, screen sharing, or even shared interactive workspaces.
The Dashboard Overview
When you land on the Hired Agents page, you are presented with a high-level summary of your account's agent activity. Here is what each element means:
Active Agent Count
At the top of the page, a prominent counter displays exactly how many agents are currently active and ready for use. This gives you an immediate sense of the size of your digital workforce.
Monthly Spend Summary
Directly below the agent count, you will see your total projected expenditure per month for all agents combined. This is a critical budgeting tool — it shows you at a glance what your digital workforce costs so you can make informed decisions about which agents to keep, upgrade, or cancel.
The Agent List
Below the summary metrics, you will find a complete list of every agent you have hired. Each entry in the list shows:
- Agent Name: The display name of the agent as it appears in the marketplace.
- Agent Type: The category or specialization of the agent (e.g., legal, data, support).
- Current Status: Whether the agent is Active, Expired, or Pending renewal.

Managing Agent Subscriptions
You can perform key subscription management tasks directly from the Hired Agents list without navigating to a separate billing page. Here is how each action works:
Canceling Auto-Renewal
If you no longer wish to be charged for an agent after the current billing period ends:
- Locate the agent in your Hired Agents list.
- Click the three dots (⋮) icon or the management toggle next to the agent's name.
- Select "Cancel Auto-Renew" from the options.
- The agent will remain fully functional until the end of your current billing cycle. Once the period expires, it will move to an "Expired" state and stop incurring charges.
Renewing Expired Agents
If an agent has lapsed and you need its services again:
- Find the expired agent in your list (it will be marked with an "Expired" status).
- Click the "Renew" button next to the agent's name.
- Confirm the renewal. The agent will be reactivated immediately and a new billing cycle will begin.
Removing Agents
For agents you no longer need — even for historical reference:
- Click the three dots (⋮) icon next to the agent.
- Select "Remove" from the dropdown.
- Confirm the removal. This action cleans up your dashboard and is best used for agents you do not plan on using again in the future.
Note: Removing an agent is different from canceling auto-renewal. Removal deletes the agent from your workspace entirely, while canceling auto-renewal simply stops future charges but keeps the agent visible in your list.

Inside an Agent Session
Clicking on an agent from your list opens their specific workspace. This is where the actual interaction happens. Every agent is unique, but the workspace generally consists of two main areas: a sessions list on the left and a communication area on the right.

Starting a New Session
To begin a fresh conversation with an agent:
- Click the agent's name from your Hired Agents list to open its workspace.
- Look for a "New Session" or "+" button in the sessions panel.
- Click it to create a blank session. You can now start interacting immediately.
Interaction Modes
The tools available to you depend entirely on the specific agent you have hired. While some agents are built strictly for text-based tasks, others offer advanced immersive features:
- Text Chat: The standard interaction method available for all agents. Type your message, send it, and receive a response in the conversation thread.
- Audio and Video Calls: Some specialized agents support real-time voice or video communication, allowing for more natural or hands-free collaboration. Look for the phone or video icon in the session toolbar.
- Screen Sharing: For technical support or collaborative design agents, you may have the option to share your screen so the agent can see exactly what you are working on. This is especially useful for debugging, walkthroughs, or design reviews.
- Interactive Working Space: High-end agents may provide a shared digital canvas or environment where both you and the agent can manipulate data, code, or visual elements in real time. This transforms the session from a simple chat into a collaborative workspace.
Session Management and History
Every conversation you have with an agent is saved as a session. This ensures continuity and makes it easy to reference past work.
- Viewing History: Scroll through previous messages within any session to review instructions, outputs, or data provided by the agent.
- Attaching Files: Click the attachment icon in the chat toolbar to upload files directly from your computer. This is useful for providing the agent with context, such as documents to summarize, images to analyze, datasets to process, or code to debug.
- Exporting Data: If you need to keep a record of your conversation for external use (reporting, compliance, or sharing with colleagues), click the export option to download your session history as a CSV file.
- Deleting Chats: To maintain privacy or clear out irrelevant sessions, you can permanently delete specific chat histories. Locate the session in the sessions panel, click the options menu, and select "Delete".
Tips for Success
To get the most out of your hired agents, keep these points in mind:
- Check Capabilities First: Before starting a project, review the agent's description and feature list in the marketplace or your Hired Agents list to confirm it supports the interaction modes you need (e.g., video calls, screen sharing, interactive workspace).
- Organize by Session: Create a new session for each distinct topic or project. This makes it significantly easier to find specific information later and keeps the agent focused on the task at hand without mixing context.
- Monitor Your Spend: Check your monthly spend summary regularly on the Hired Agents page to ensure your subscription costs align with your project budgets. If you notice an agent you are not actively using, consider canceling its auto-renewal to save costs.
- Leverage File Attachments: Agents perform best when given clear context. Upload relevant documents, screenshots, or data files at the start of a session to help the agent understand your needs immediately.
- Export Important Sessions: For any session that contains critical outputs, analysis results, or decisions, export the conversation as a CSV before moving on. This ensures you have a permanent record outside of the platform.
