Agentpunkt Engineering Partnership Guide

Welcome to the Agentpunkt Engineering Partnership program. This guide is a complete resource for visionaries, entrepreneurs, and businesses who have identified a powerful use case for an AI agent but lack the internal technical resources to build, deploy, and maintain it. You will learn what the program is, who it is for, why it is valuable, and exactly how the process works from initial idea to marketplace launch.

What Is the Engineering Partnership?

The Engineering Partnership is a collaborative "build-to-publish" service offered by Agentpunkt. Unlike a traditional software agency model where you pay for a project and walk away, this is a long-term collaboration. We provide the technical expertise — including AI engineering, LLM orchestration, security, and marketplace integration — to turn your concept into a production-ready agent hosted on the Agentpunkt marketplace.

You bring the domain expertise and the idea. We bring the engineering. Together, we build an agent that solves a real problem and make it available to users worldwide.

Why Partner With Agentpunkt?

Partnering with our engineering team provides several distinct advantages over building independently:

  • Speed to Market: We have a pre-built infrastructure for AI agents — including hosting, security, billing, and discovery systems — which means we can often go from idea to launch in a fraction of the time it would take to build from scratch.
  • Technical Excellence: You get access to senior AI engineers who understand the nuances of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and multi-model orchestration.
  • Zero Infrastructure Overhead: You do not need to worry about servers, API keys, security patches, compliance certifications, or scaling. We manage the entire lifecycle of the agent from deployment through ongoing maintenance.
  • Distribution: By being on the Agentpunkt marketplace, your agent is immediately visible to our existing and growing user base. You do not need to build your own marketing funnel or distribution channel.
  • Revenue Sharing: Rather than paying a large upfront development fee, the partnership typically operates on a revenue-share model. Both parties benefit from the agent's success on the marketplace.
  • Ongoing Support: Unlike a one-time contract, this is a long-term collaboration. We continue to maintain, update, and optimize the agent after launch.

Who Is This For?

This program is specifically tailored for individuals and organizations in the following situations:

  • Industry Experts: You have deep knowledge of a specific niche — such as legal, real estate, medical billing, logistics, or finance — and know exactly what an AI agent needs to do to be useful, but you do not have the engineering team to build it.
  • Startups: You want to validate an AI product idea quickly without hiring a full-time engineering team. The partnership allows you to launch a working product and gather real user feedback before committing to a dedicated tech team.
  • Enterprise Innovators: You have a tool or process that could benefit your entire industry but need a secure, scalable platform to host it. Our infrastructure handles enterprise-grade security, compliance, and scale from day one.
  • Non-Technical Founders: You have a clear vision for an AI-powered solution and want to partner with a team that can execute technically while you focus on business development, sales, and customer relationships.

The Step-by-Step Process

The Engineering Partnership follows a structured five-phase process. Each phase has clear objectives and deliverables, ensuring transparency and alignment at every stage.

Phase 1: The Initial Contact

Everything starts with an email. You do not need a technical specification, a business plan, or a prototype at this stage.

What to do:

  1. Go to agentpunkt.com/partnership and scroll to the Engineering Partnership section at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the contact button, or email us directly at info@agentpunkt.com.
  3. In your email, include a high-level summary of your idea. Focus on two things:
    • The problem the agent would solve.
    • The target user — who would benefit from this agent?

You do not need to know how the agent will work technically. That is what the next phase is for.

Phase 2: Discovery and Feasibility

Once we receive your inquiry, we will schedule a discovery call within one week. During this session, our team will work with you to understand the full scope of the opportunity. Topics covered include:

  • Core Functionality: What does the agent need to do? What inputs will it accept and what outputs will it produce?
  • Data Requirements: Does the agent need access to external databases, APIs, or proprietary datasets? What integrations are required?
  • Commercial Potential: Is there a viable market for this agent on the Agentpunkt marketplace? Who are the target users and how much would they be willing to pay?
  • Technical Feasibility: Can this agent be built within our current architecture? Are there any technical constraints or dependencies that need to be addressed?

At the end of this phase, we will provide you with a written feasibility assessment that outlines the proposed scope, estimated timeline, and the commercial model.

Phase 3: Collaborative Development

If both parties decide to move forward, the engineering phase begins. This is a joint venture approach where both sides contribute their expertise:

  • Your Role: You provide the domain expertise, prompt requirements, industry-specific terminology, and "tone of voice" for the agent. You help us understand the edge cases, regulatory requirements, and specific industry standards the agent must follow. You are also our primary tester during development.
  • Our Role: Our engineers handle the backend development, LLM orchestration, security protocols, data pipeline integration, and marketplace integration. We build the agent using our proven infrastructure and best practices.

Throughout this phase, you will have regular check-ins (typically weekly) to review progress, provide feedback on agent responses, and suggest adjustments.

Phase 4: Testing and Quality Assurance

Before any agent goes live, it undergoes rigorous testing across three dimensions:

  1. Accuracy: Does the agent produce correct, reliable outputs for the use cases it was designed for?
  2. Speed: Does the agent respond within acceptable timeframes for a production environment?
  3. Safety: Does the agent handle edge cases, adversarial inputs, and sensitive data appropriately?

During this phase, you will be given early access to the agent to "stress test" its responses with real-world scenarios from your domain. Your feedback is critical at this stage. We iterate on the agent's behavior until it meets our shared quality standards.

Phase 5: Launch and Maintenance

After final approval from both parties, your agent is published to the Agentpunkt marketplace. Here is what happens at launch and beyond:

  • Marketplace Listing: The agent appears on the marketplace with a full profile — including name, description, screenshots, pricing, and your company branding.
  • Hosting and Scaling: We handle all server infrastructure. As usage grows, the agent scales automatically without any action required from you.
  • Payment Processing: We manage all billing, subscriptions, and payment processing through our unified billing system. You do not need to set up your own payment infrastructure.
  • Ongoing Maintenance: We continue to monitor the agent's performance, apply security patches, and release updates as needed. If the underlying AI models improve, we can update the agent to take advantage of new capabilities.
  • Performance Reporting: You will have access to usage metrics, revenue data, and user feedback through the Agentpunkt dashboard.

Commercials and Revenue

The Engineering Partnership is a collaborative effort, and the commercial terms reflect that shared investment. Here is how it typically works:

  • Revenue-Share Model: Rather than charging a flat development fee, we typically operate on a revenue-share basis. Both parties earn a percentage of the agent's revenue on the marketplace.
  • Custom Terms: The specific revenue splits are determined during the Discovery phase (Phase 2) based on the complexity of the build, the level of domain expertise required, and the anticipated level of ongoing support.
  • No Upfront Engineering Fees: In most cases, there are no upfront costs for the engineering work. Our investment is in the long-term success of the agent on the marketplace.
